Independent filmmaker and visionary creative Gershom Sikaala is set to host his first film festival — and he’s doing it his way. The Authentic Global Film Festival 2025 is coming to Los Angeles on June 12–13, bringing with it an innovative format that blends indie cinema with live performances, celebrity judges, and a star-studded guest list.

“This isn’t just another film festival,” Gershom says. “I’ve been to a lot of festivals that felt more like industry checkboxes than true celebrations of creativity. I wanted to build something that feels alive, where filmmakers, artists, and audiences actually connect.”

Gershom’s goal with the Authentic Global Film Festival is to break the mold.
