“I’m definitely pop-R&B, but this new journey that I’m on, I’m influenced by some funk and some soul elements,” Nastachia Jones, 28, revealed.

When it comes to a one-of-a-kind sound, she’s no stranger to staying true to her roots—not allowing herself to be sidetracked by social media trends.

“When we don’t have outside distractions, we’re able to put ourselves into the best versions of ourselves, which I feel like in turn we’re able to produce the best music,” she said.

Gushing about her love for the classics–mainly Michael Jackson–Nastachia also has some living artists she could see herself working with.

“I have a new song that just came out called Lady of the Hour, and it is definitely that Bootsy Collins, Silk Sonic, Bruno Mars, and Anderson .Paak kind of sound,” she said.

While Nastachia’s new sound is bringing on the funk, but she’s not afraid to get in touch with more tender feelings in her music.

“What gets me choked up is a song I released called Lonely,” she said.

“When it comes to songwriting—because I’ve written all my songs—I love to create relatable music.

“I feel like relatable music is the music that not only sells, but it’s the music that really hits.”

Nastachia isn’t stopping anytime soon, sharing her vision for the new year.

“2025 is just going to be honing in on this new chapter of my life, which being in a really, really happy space,” she said.

The singing sensation said that while she isn’t afraid to bare her soul in her lyrics, she also wants her fans to have a good time to her music.

“I just want to share that fun, that lighthearted energy,” she said. “A lot of my music has been about heartbreak, but I’m a fun person and I am a happy person and I just want to support that energy.”

Nastachia added some words of wisdom to aspiring artists looking to journey into music.

“I’m not going to stop because this is what I want to do, and this means so much to me,” she said.

“I just want people to do the same thing if they have a goal. Just know that you’re capable if you have a goal. You just have to keep going.”

Nastachia’s music is available on streaming platforms, including Spotify.
