It’s official—Ozzy Osbourne is gearing up for one last epic show, and he’s not leaving anything to chance.
The 75-year-old rock icon, known for turning chaos into art and redefining what it means to be a performer, is going back to where it all started—literally. The “Back to the Beginning” concert is set for July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. This won’t just be another gig. It’s the grand finale, and Ozzy’s pulling out all the stops—physically, emotionally, and musically.
Back in Training, Back on Track
After years of health challenges—including multiple surgeries and a gnarly spinal issue—Ozzy is getting himself stage-ready again. On his Ozzy Speaks SiriusXM show, he didn’t sugarcoat the process. “I’m starting from scratch,” he said. “Three minutes to you is nothing, but I’ve been laying on my back recovering from umpteen surgeries.”
So what does rock-star rehab look like? Right now, it’s two sets of three-minute walks every day and some light weightlifting. It may not sound hardcore, but considering the battles he’s faced, it’s a massive step forward—and a testament to just how badly he wants to give fans one last unforgettable night.
The Show of the Century
Let’s talk about this lineup. Alongside Ozzy and what’s expected to be a partial Black Sabbath reunion, we’re talking Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Mastodon, and more. It’s a heavy metal dream team.
The night will also feature some iconic guest stars—think Slash, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Billy Corgan, Tom Morello (who’s acting as musical director), and Wolfgang Van Halen, to name just a few. It’s basically a who’s who of rock and metal royalty, all gathering to pay tribute to Ozzy’s legacy.
More Than Just Music
What makes this farewell even more special? It’s also a benefit event. Proceeds will go to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. So not only will fans be getting the show of a lifetime—they’ll also be contributing to some incredibly important causes.
A True Rock Legend, Still Fighting
Even after everything he’s been through, Ozzy isn’t coasting to the finish line. He’s walking (literally) into his final chapter with purpose and grit. “I’m waking up in my body,” he said, reflecting on how this journey has been as much about healing as it is about performing.
Come July, fans around the world will witness the final bow of one of rock’s greatest showmen—and if Ozzy has anything to say about it, it’s going to be unforgettable.
