Tyler Perry’s latest project, Beauty in Black, is set to make waves on Netflix, and the first look promises a thrilling ride. On Tuesday, September 24, the streaming giant unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated series, offering a glimpse into the action-packed drama.
The teaser kicks off with Mallory, played by Crystle Stewart, confidently striding out of a lavish mansion, captivating everyone around her. As she speaks to a room full of women, her presence commands attention. Meanwhile, Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) finds herself intrigued by Mallory’s life of luxury. As she walks through a grand venue, Kimmie wonders aloud, “Her family owns all of this. Wonder what her life is like.”
A friend of Kimmie’s responds with a biting quip: “I bet she ain’t stayin’ in no pay-by-the-week hotel.” The trailer hints at the inevitable clash between their worlds—one where lives will be entangled, and not without drama. The preview showcases a series of intense moments, from a slap to someone being struck by a truck. In a particularly intense scene, a character sums up the tension with the words, “Beautiful and deadly.” Mallory responds with a fierce, “Beauty in black, baby.”

According to the official synopsis, Beauty in Black centers on two women leading drastically different lives.
